DC -Distributers and Canada

so we've been wandering around the US now for ... since sunday.
camping and cruising our lives away.
while the first day was absolutely perfect--easy traffic through nyc and plenty of light to set up our tent by--the SECOND day was a bit more ... trying.

oh washington DC, where little old ladies wear four-inch stilettos
and digestive-tract conference attendees are easily categorized by their
fluorescent purple backpacks.

so there we are: three hippi-like creatures in a tiny red car with a gigantic cargo carrier strapped to her roof and then ... putt putt ... putt putt and then ... Road Kill is stalling right in the middle of downtown DC and then ... she's out, done and gone, kaput. luckily she has perfect timing as due to some strange moon cycle there was no traffic behind us and we were able to push her over to the side of the road.

so the three of us, jim, zach, and brie, spent the next couple hours waiting for AAA/CAA to come tow us away to a place where Road Kill could get her distributor fixed *ahem* replaced. so we smoked a pipe and watched people watch us. luckily it was right in the thick of the business district's lunch break so there was plenty to see.

when we got picked up by a burly man with a funny accent the three of us squinched into his truck's cab and he brought us to Lukoil, where we were able to park our car for a bargain price of $430!! as if by magic, when we returned five hours later from eating exceptionally wonderful thai food and touring the city, Road Kill was revived!!

all-in-all is was a delightfully eventful day.

WOW!!! Sounds like you 3 have already had some great experiences. The blogs are a must for all those Americans.Canadians who enjoy your clever and cliffhangin writing. I smiled a number of times while reading and that must mean something good for the name. Anyway, I wish you well and am excited to watch as this trip changes your lives while you change America. Peace.Prayers.

not bad guys. Zach why didn't you just fix the distributer? You probably need more tools.
pink backbacks?
keep the stories coming so that boring people like me can live vicariously through you.
